The Oldham Open returns!

The Oldham Open exhibition is for artists of all ages who live, work or study in Oldham. As we prepare for its return this autumn we are sending out a call for entries.

Pick up your paintbrush, fire up the kiln and get snapping with that camera! This is your chance to showcase your work as part of The Oldham Open 2017.

If you are interested in taking part then please download this Entry Form.

It contains all the guidance, dates and important details you’ll need when planning for this exhibition.

Over the years the Oldham Open has featured oils, watercolours, photography, wood carving, stone carving, jewellery, textiles and even a kite! Here are some of the facts and figures from the 2015 show:

There were 40 four-legged animals depicted in the show, but only one cat, which are usually more popular subjects in open call exhibitions across the land!

There were 32 mill chimneys.

The youngest artist was five but we were too polite to check the age of the oldest artist.

The cheapest painting was offered for just £6, and the most expensive for £5,000.
