Gallery Oldham is a unique and bold new landmark building that opened in February 2002. The £9m gallery forms the first phase of a new Cultural Quarter for Oldham. It was designed by architects Pringle Richards Sharratt and has received an award from the Royal Institute of British Architects.

How to get to Gallery Oldham

Gallery Oldham is situated on Greaves Street, just off Union Street. The Gallery is a few minutes walk from Oldham Mumps railway Station and Oldham Bus Station. There is a bus stop on Union Street, next to the gardens in front of the Gallery.

The nearest car park is Southgate Street pay and display. There are two disabled parking spaces at the bottom of Greaves Street, next to the Gallery and Library and Lifelong Learning Centre, and several spaces on the Southgate Street car park, with access to the Gallery across Southgate Street.

The new Oldham Library and Lifelong Learning Centre opened in April 2006 and is joined onto the Gallery with a shared reception area.

Gallery Oldham is open:

Monday - Saturday, 10am - 5pm. (Last admission to the galleries 4.30pm) Admission is free.
