Sine Language: Hetain Patel and Jason Singh

Sine Language is a new installation by artist Hetain Patel and urban musician Jason Singh. It explores drumming rhythms from Indian classical drumming to beat boxing, physical performance and environmental noise.

Hetain Patel’s work is concerned with his Indian heritage and looks at the themes of dislocation and cultural self-identity. His work is centred around his own body and ritual activities such as henna tattooing and tabla drumming.

Sine Language is a touring exhibition from the City Gallery, Leicester.
