Unto the Self

Unto the Self is an exhibition by British artist Robert Bryce Muir that explores notions of perception and meaning and looks at the human body in relation to its environment.

The centrepiece of the show is a stunning life size steel sculpture of a male figure and neon cube. Visitors walking through and around the sculpture experience changing relationships with the figure, which embraces and then rejects them.

The exhibition includes various other works by the artist that explore similar themes. These include drawings and a variety of smaller-scale metal sculptures.
