Seeing is Believing

Gallery Oldham has gathered together an impressive photographic collection that illustrates the changing status of photography over recent decades.

Highlights include large-scale works by leading photographic artists like Yasumasa Morimura, Calum Colvin and Shezad Dawood.

Recently commissioned images by Clement Cooper and Ian Beesley reflect cultural change in Oldham and there are classic images from the 1980s including icons of Manchester culture Morrisey and Corination Street's Stan Ogden (played by Bernard Youens).
