The Great Reform Act of 1832 created the political constituency of Oldham for the first time. 175 years later, this exhibition looks at key elections from Oldham's history and brings to life the issues and personalities that shaped the politics of the town.

Oldham Votes features political posters, leaflets and a range of other objects from Gallery Oldham's Social History Collection.

Find out why the nephew of anti-slavery campaigner William Wilberforce stood in the 1832 election at Oldham.

Discover how a young war correspondent named Winston Churchill was elected by Oldhamers in the "Khaki Election" of 1900.
