Museum of the Future

What gets us talking? What will we remember in years to come?

At the Museum of the Future exhibition you can discover more about the wide range of historical objects, natural history specimens, photographs, documents and artworks in the collections of Gallery Oldham and Oldham Local Studies and Archives. These tell us about the history of Oldham and the natural world around us.

There’s a range of work by local groups on show that explores interesting ideas about the collections the ways in which they could be shown and developed. And there are plenty of ways for you to tell us what you think too!

During August, our Museum of the Future artist in residence will help you develop your ideas through a range of creative activities.

Drop in and take part on any of the following dates:

10:30am – 1pm and 2-4:30pm each day.

These sessions are suitable for all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

The Museum of the Future exhibition is open during our normal opening hours: Monday – Saturday 10am – 5pm (last admission 4:30pm).

Museum of the Future is funded by Arts Council England North West and Oldham Cultural Partnership.
