Colour Coded
19 March - 18 June 2005

Red hot, true blue, in the pink, green around the gills…colours have always been used to express different moods and emotions.
Artists have been working with local schools to explore the world of colours and their different cultural meanings and symbolisms. The work created by the pupils includes sculpture, textiles, paintings and photography. It will be on show in the Colour Coded exhibition alongside work by the four artists involved.
At the exhibition you can discover what your favourite colour is supposed to reveal about your personality and try out some optical illusions based on colour!
Artist Seiwa Cunningham worked with pupils at Grange School, Sarah Wray-Jones with South Chadderton School, Tim Stokes with Greenhill Primary School and Lyndsey Milnes with Westwood Primary School.
Also on show are banners by pupils from schools working in pairs - Coppice Juniors and St Herbert’s Juniors; Freehold Juniors and Mather St Juniors; and St Hilda’s Primary and Littlemoor Primary.
