Andy Hazell
2 July – 29 August 2005

Andy Hazell’s quirky and ingenious work ranges from tiny tin automata, to large installations and photographs.
Hazell often works with recycled tin, and explores many themes. You can have a go at operating his tin automata, which are inspired by domestic life and familiar gadgets. Other intriguing sculptures in the show include a Toxic Waste Ship that raises questions about environmentalism. His photographs take in details from an extensive bus trip across Pakistan.
You may already be familiar with Andy Hazell’s sculpture. His Egyptian Cabinet, created with Lucy Casson, is on permanent display in Gallery Oldham’s reception area.
This exhibition is toured by the Oriel Myrddin Gallery, Carmarthen.
