Over The Top: Leeds Fine Artists

We welcome Leeds Fine Artists’ annual show for the first time this year. The group was founded in 1874 as the Leeds Fine Arts Club, and soon became a major player in the cultural life of the city. Its meetings and annual exhibitions, became key fixtures in Leeds’ cultural calendar.

The club has grown and evolved over time and is still thriving with a membership drawn from throughout Yorkshire.

The theme of this year’s exhibition is ‘Over the Top’, which makes reference to their journey over the Pennines to Oldham. The show will contain artworks in a range of media including painting, printmaking, photography, fine art textiles and sculpture. Most of the work is for sale.
