Oldham Road, Second View: Photographs by Charlie Meecham

How do you define your sense of place living in a constantly changing landscape? Photographer Charlie Meecham has spent the last two years recording the people and buildings he encountered while travelling between Oldham and Manchester. The exhibition will feature his photographs alongside those taken by local residents he has met along the way.

This work develops the original Oldham Road project that Charlie Meecham undertook between 1986 and 1988. He has revisited many of the same places and his 1980s images will be displayed alongside this new work to document what has changed and what has stayed the same.
