Chromium Skip
1 August – 19 September 2009

Chromium Skip is a group of four North West based artists. In this exhibition they explore the past and future of Oldham architecture, and how the built environment influences and shapes the lives of the town’s people.
The starting point for the exhibition involved gathering documentation about Oldham’s buildings - information such as site surveys, floor-plans and drawings. The artists then went on to interpret the data using their individual creative approaches.
The result is an experimental and wide-ranging exhibition using different mediums.
Featuring sculpture, installation, photography, video and computer generated imagery, the exhibition presents a new and imaginative vision of Oldham.
