Borderland
1 November 2008 – 10 January 2009
Photographers Liz Lock and Mishka Henner explored the changing character of Oldham and its surroundings between Summer 2007 and Autumn 2008.
The resulting images take us on a journey through social gatherings, changing landscapes and personal lives. These provide a fresh insight into the tensions and shared experiences of Oldhamers old and young.
The exhibition includes a large collection of colour portraits, landscape studies, interviews and written material. Work by local apprentice artists who were guided by Liz and Mishka will also be on display.
Borderland is funded by Oldham Beyond and Arts Council England.
Image: Photography by Liz Lock and Mishka Henner.
Lunchtime talk by the artists: Wednesday 12 November, 1pm, free.
