Free Lunchtime Talks

Our free exhibition talks are a great way to find out more about what's on show. Regular talks take place on the second Wednesday of each month at 1pm and last approximately 20 minutes. They are free and there is no need to book. Forthcoming talks are:

Wednesday 10 September, 1pm: Artist Jeanette Appleton talks about her textiles in Sow : Sew.

Wednesday 8 October, 1pm: Take a closer look at the popular Made in Oldham exhibition.

Wednesday 12 November, 1pm: Liz Lock and Mishka Henner talk about their Borderland photography project.

Wednesday 10 December, 1pm: Curator Sean Baggaley explores Super Structures.

Wednesday 14 January, 1pm: Explore the Sine Language exhibition

Wednesday 11 February: Curator Dinah Winch talks about Arthur Dooley's life and work.

Wednesday 11 March, 1pm: Artist David Tress introduces his exhibition Chasing Sublime Light.

Free Behind the Scenes Sessions

A few months ago we introduced new Behind the Scenes sessions and these have proved to be very popular. At these sessions you can take a closer look at our varied collections in store.

Tuesday 16 September, 2pm: Natural History Collection

Tuesday 18 November, 2pm: Social History Collection. Linked to the Super Structures exhibition.

Tuesday 27 January, 2pm: Linked to the Arthur Dooley exhibition.

Audio Described Tours
