Come and enjoy our free family events. They’re guaranteed to put fun into your free time!
The Big Draw!
Saturday 25 October, 1–4pm:
An afternoon of artistic creativity for all the family!
Fantasy Landscapes – Where do our collections come from, and how have they ended up at the Gallery? Use your imagination to dream up stories around some of our most treasured objects.
Blooming Marvellous Art – Be inspired by plants, flowers and seeds to create a gigantic window frieze.
Free, no need to book, just drop in anytime. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Family Activities
Free family activities take place during all school holidays. These are linked to our exhibitions – please take time to have a look around the relevant exhibition before you come along to an activity.
Monday 27 October: Landscape in Fabric, linked to the Sow : Sew exhibition.
Tueday 28 October: Art for All, linked to the art@16 exhibition.
Wednesday 29 October: Felt Art, linked to the Sow : Sew exhibition.
Monday 8 December: Christmas and Seasonal Crafts
Monday 16 February: Landscape Collage, linked to the Chasing Sublime Light exhibition.
Tuesday 17 February: Japanese Art, linked to the Art of Japan exhibition.
Wednesday 18 February: Sculptures, linked to the Arthur Dooley exhibition.
All take place 1–4pm. Sessions are free and there’s no need to book, just drop in anytime. Children must be accompanied by an adult. If you are bringing a group of five or more children, please phone us in advance on 0161 770 4653.
