Gallery Oldham’s collection, one of the largest and most varied in the north west of England, consists of thousands of items of fine and decorative art, photography, natural and social history, geology and archaeology.

Online Collections Database

Our new online collections database has just launched! The database includes almost 700 items and artworks from our Art, Social History and Natural History Collections. This number will increase as our digitisation programme continues.

Thanks to funding from Museums, Libraries and Archives North West we have been able to add many images from our Political Posters Collection to the database. Many of them features the elections of 1899 and 1900 when Winston Churchill became MP for Oldham - his first ever election success. Many of these posters were on display in the Oldham Votes exhibition in 2007.
