And the winner is…

Now that the Oldham Open exhibition is over and all of the works have been collected there is one last announcement to make. Hundreds of votes were cast in our search for The People’s Prize. We’ve counted them all up and (drumroll) the winner is…

Neil Seville received the largest number of votes for his piece “Golden Hour”. Neil wins a £50 voucher from an art shop to help create his next art work. Congratulations to Neil. He was the joint winner of this award in 2013 and can now claim the title as entirely his own.

The runners up were Lee Nolan (2nd place) and Isabelle Young (3rd place). There are no prizes for the runners up except for the well earned respect of their peers. We think that everyone who exhibited their work this year was a winner!

Our final thanks are to the many hundreds of people who voted. Proof of the popularity of the Oldham Open is the huge number of people who get involved – the artists and the visitors. We look forward to doing this all again in 2019.
