Exploring Texture Through Textiles
Thursdays 2, 9 and 16 February, 6–8.30pm
A series of evening classes filled with bold, bright, beautiful colours and textures. Work alongside local textile artist Claire Louise Mather and try your hand at weaving and stitching. Use traditional and contemporary techniques to create your own textile interpretation of the artwork of Ann Sutton to take home.
Cost: £30 including materials for all three workshops, advance booking required.

After our first marvellous MadLab session last year we’re pleased to announce our second ‘MAKE STUFF’ event. Join the digital artists from MadLab for a day of art, coding and computers for adults.

Upcycle your old clothes and give them a new lease of life with help from Stitched Up. Bring along any item from your wardrobe and we’ll help you embellish a shirt or turn a pair of jeans into a miniskirt. No previous experience.

Take inspiration from our Lees collection and learn easy techniques to produce wonderful watercolour paintings of your own.

Our Learning and Outreach Officer provides a range of hands-on activities, delivered both at the Gallery and off site at a venue convenient for you. Our Adult arts and crafts courses and workshops are designed to help you develop new skills, experiment with new techniques and explore new and unusual materials!
Arts, crafts and heritage workshops are available based on our collections for a range of community and voluntary groups for all ages and abilities.
